Yoga Session: Commemorative event for 11th International Day of Yoga

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe participated in the Yoga Session, organized by the Embassy of India in Yangon, in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture of Myanmar, to observe the 11th International Day of Yoga at the Thatta Thattaha Maha Bawdi Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday.

The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo and U Ko Ko Kyaw, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, and the Nay Pyi Taw Council office as well as Ambassador of India to Myanmar Mr. Abhay Thakur, diplomats and staff from the Embassy and other invitees.

After the event, the Deputy Prime Minister, along with the Ambassador of India, planted a Gantgaw sapling in the Pagoda compound, in commemoration of the 11th International Day of Yoga.
