








Under the supervision of the Kachin State Government, the Kachin State Fire Services Department and Myitkyina Airport jointly held a fire prevention awareness talk and emergency fire drill at Myitkyina Airport on Friday.
Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan attended the event, together with officials. Fire officials explained fire prevention methods, fire extinguisher use, electrical fire risks, and airport fire safety measures. A practical fire drill, including aircraft fire simulation, was then demonstrated.
Later, the Chief Minister attended a food fair organized by the Kachin State Women’s Affairs Federation and Maternal and Child Welfare Association, where traditional and local foods were sold. In the afternoon, the Chief Minister met Bhamo University staff and provided 10 million kyat and blankets, encouraging them to continue serving despite difficulties.
He also met internal displaced families from Myitkyina and Waingmaw Townships and provided rice, cooking oil, eggs, and cash assistance to 697 households. The Chief Minister encouraged them to work together for a safe return to their homes.
