Work Undertakings: Agriculture development, awarding event and exam matter

Kachin State Government held a coordination meeting on sufficiency of foods and edible oil on Friday. Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan urged all to strive for extended cultivation of crops while the government is providing inputs for agricultural development.

Officials provided update reports on cultivation and harvesting of monsoon and summer paddy during 2024-2025, provision of agriculture inputs for achieving the target yield in 2025-2026, plans to extend the oil crop cultivation and oil milling industries.

The Chief Minister coordinated the needs for respective sectors. On separate occasion, the Chief Minister attended a ceremony to honour the voluntters from the State Red Cross Supervisoyr Committee who assisted in the relief efforts in quake-hit areas.

He expressed appreciation for the volunteer works, and presented the certificate of honour and cash rewards. Cash assistance were also provided for two students who are attending the medicine university and dental medicine university in Mandalay.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister attended a work coordination meeting with the Northern Command for successful holding of 2025 matriculation exam. The meeting discussed for timely distribution of question and answer papers, security measures and health care provision during the exam period.
