







The Ministry of Education held a work coordination meeting to reorganize the 2025 Matriculation Examination for earthquake-affected regions and states on Sunday.
Union Minister Dr. Nyunt Pe attended the meeting and made a speech. He confirmed that the 2025 matriculation exam will be rescheduled to June 16, and around 63,000 students from Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Nay Pyi Taw, and Kachin State will need to retake the exam due to earthquake damage to their answer sheets.
To assist affected candidates, the Ministry will provide all necessary school supplies. Additionally, university and basic education teachers will support students in their preparation for the upcoming exam.
The Deputy Ministers reported the need for proper planning of schools, teachers, timetables and lessons, ensuring access to clean drinking water and adequate sanitation facilities as part of the overall preparation. This was followed by the sector-wise reports on work undertakings and needs by the relevant departmental personnel.
