Women’s vocational training: Mon State CM attended and gave opening remarks

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, on May 12,  attended and delivered the opening remarks at the inauguration ceremony of the Advanced Domestic Sewing Training Course No. (10) and the Traditional Mon Hand Weaving Course No. (26) organized by the Ministry of Border Affairs and the Women’s Domestic Vocational Training School (Mudon), held at the Women’s Domestic Vocational Training School in Kwam Ta Village, Mudo Township.

Following the opening remarks, the school principal provided a briefing on the school and training programs. A training completed  trainee, then, shared her success story and experience in the sewing industry.

After that, the Chief Minister and officials warmly greeted and encouraged the trainees.

The training program includes 25 trainees for the advanced sewing course and 5 trainees for the traditional Mon hand weaving course, totaling 30 trainees. The courses will run for 22 weeks, from May 12, to October 10, 2025.
