As winter sets in Peru, healthcare workers forge ahead with a vaccine campaign designed to tackle the flu and COVID-19 in the poor neighborhood of "Ticlio Chico" on the outskirts of Lima. Residents weathering unseasonably cold weather ventured out of their homes, many with their children, to have them receive their jabs at a vaccination center.

Nurses responsible for house-to house vaccination efforts, set up on a vaccine clinic on a soccer field. Residents of the low-income area of the city do not have potable water or sewage. The nurses literally face an uphill battle, climbing steep hills to knock on doors, to find many of the residents who are at work. Peru is experiencing a fourth wave of COVID-19 with the number of confirmed cases rising again. The virus has killed 213,000 people in Peru since the beginning of the worldwide pandemic was declared in March 2020.
