WHO chief: We must learn from coronavirus pandemic

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) on Sunday urged people to learn the lesson of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The WHO's Director-General spoke on what has been designated as the first International Day of Epidemic Preparedness. The pandemic has highlighted the intimate relationship between humans, animals and the planet, he said.

He also urged governments to take action against the 'threats of climate change, and leave to the future generations a safer, more resilient and more sustainable planet.
