










Due to the Mandalay earthquake that struck on March 28, 2025, damage occurred in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Sagaing Region, Mandalay Region, Magway Region, Shan State, and Bago Region. To assist the affected people, domestic and international donors and well-wishers have been providing humanitarian aid, including relief supplies and medicines. Distribution efforts to the disaster-stricken areas have been carried out from May 5th to May 12th, with weekly updates being released.
Currently, during the week of May 13th to May 19th, additional donations of food supplies, consumer goods, household items, medicines, and medical equipment have been sent by India, Malaysia, the Russian Federation, and the Singapore Lotus Charity Society. Among these, the medicines and medical supplies have been transferred to the Health Care Work Committee (Ministry of Health), while the food supplies, consumer goods, and household items have been delivered to the relevant ministries in Nay Pyi Taw.
Additionally, out of 500 prefabricated offices donated by the People’s Republic of China for temporary use by Union ministries and earthquake-affected areas, 340 units have already arrived and are being installed. Similarly, out of 4,500 prefabricated houses donated by China for temporary shelters, 1,576 units arrived at Thilawa Port in Yangon on May 9, and 1,804 units arrived on May 13. These have been sent to Sagaing Region, Mandalay Region, and Nay Pyi Taw for installation in necessary locations. Further arrivals will continue to be distributed accordingly.
From the day of the earthquake on March 28, until now, the total distribution of donated supplies includes 57 vehicles sent to Mandalay Region, 29 vehicles sent to Sagaing Region, 9 vehicles sent to Shan State (South).
Updates on further incoming donations and their swift distribution to earthquake-affected people will continue to be released weekly.
