Waste Management: Demonstration on waste segregation in Magway

An awareness raising and demonstration ceremonies on waste segregation took place at No.1 Basic Education High School and Ye Nan Chaung University in Ye Nan Chaung Township on 18th June.

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin joined the events, held under the supervision of township development committee.

In his speech, the Chief Minister highlighted the crucial role of waste management in environmental pollution prevention and systematic utilization of natural resources.

The Chief Minister encouraged the students to understand the importance of waste segregation and its impact on environmental and community development. He called for the concerted efforts of the relevant individuals in environmental conservation measures.

Next, discussions were made on combating desertification and impact of plastic pollution. During the ceremony, books and publications were donated for the school libraries.
