Visiting Schools: Over 440,000 students enrolled in Magway Region

The Basic Education Schools across the nation opened on June 2nd for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

On 3rd June, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin accompanied by concerned officials visited No.3 and 4 Basic Education Schools in Magway Township to oversee the learning condition of the students. During the visit, the Chief Minister cordially met with the students and encouraged them to make strenuous efforts in learning academic subjects to ensure better future.

Then, the Chief Minister instructed the officials on systematic library management to improve the reading habit of the students and to fulfill necessities for the peaceful learning enviroment as well as facelifting of the schools.

As of 2nd June, a total of 3,157 schools have been opened within Magway Region including private schools and monastic education schools with the attendance of over 440,000 students. The school enrollment will be extended until the end of June for the students who haven’t enrolled the schools due to various circumstances.
