Visiting Anglican Church: Rakhine State CM paid visit to St. Mark's Cathedral

The Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin together with the Commander of West Command Ma-J Gen. Htin Latt Oo, state ministers met with the Christian Church (Anglican), Archbishop, Bishop of Sittwe and Priests in St Mark's Cathedral, Sittwe in the morning on 25th February.

At the meeting, the event was opened with the blessing of the Bishop of Sittwe Revd Dr. James Min Dein.

The Chief Minister U Htein Lin stressed the needs to cooperation and collective efforts for the interest of region, family and religion, even though there are differences, if the cooperation for the interests of the religion and the country is conducted, all will achieve the goal.

Next, the Commander Ma-J Gen Htin Latt Oo clarified the undertakings for the rule of law, regional stability and development. Then, priest of Saint. Mark Cathedral explained the situations of the church and the chief minister and commander supplemented necessaries.

The cash donation of one million Kyats by the Rakhine State Government and half million Kyats by the West Command were presented by the Chief Minister and Commander and the Bishop Dr. James Min Dein accepted.

After blessings of the Sittwer Bishop Dr. James Min Dein, the chief minister and commander cordially greeted the priests.
