Victory in Sports: MNL Trophy & Gold Medals of Golf Tournament handed over

Shan United FC has won Myanmar National League (MNL) for three consecutive years, and a ceremony to hand over the Championship Trophy was held at Shan State Government Office on Saturday.

Likewise, three-time gold medal winner Shan State Golf Club was also honoured during the same ceremony. Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye expressed his appreciation for bringing prestige to the state by winning at MNL for three consecutive years in 2019, 2020 and 2022.

He added that the efforts of Shan United FC and Shan State Golf Club will be recognized and honoured since it is part of the government’s efforts for promoting sports standard of the nation. He urged all to continue their efforts to become the athletes that could bring prestige to the nation.

The MNL Championship Trophy was then handed over to the Chief Minister who in turn presented the certificate of honour. It was followed by handing over of the trophy by the golf players who won gold medal for three times at the Region/State Golf Tournament. The Chief Minister presented 3 million kyats honorary cash award. Well-wishers also made cash donation during the ceremony.
