Venezuela quakes death toll rises to 920 as international rescue teams arrive

The death toll from the devastating twin earthquakes in northern Venezuela has reached at least 920, with over 50,000 people still missing.

More than 1,400 structures have been critically damaged, including hospitals, shopping centers, and main highways. As the US, Mexico, France and UK has pledged immediate deployment of large-scale humanitarian and search-and-rescue assistance, international rescue teams and relief supplies have mobilized globally to bolster the response.
