The restrictions requiring vehicles to operate on designated odd- or even-numbered days were lifted, according to an announcement by the Information Team of the President’s Office on Wednesday.

The system was introduced in March to conserve fuel amid conflicts in the Middle East. Authorities said fuel supplies have now returned to a stable and normal level, and all vehicles can operate as usual without the odd-even day restriction starting September 9. However, fuel purchases will continue to follow the existing odd-even day and QR code system of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy to help ensure national energy security.
