






The vaccination programme is one of the most important activities in the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 disease. Doctors and nurses from public hospitals, Tatmadaw medical teams, healthcare workers and volunteers are working hard to administer COVID-19 vaccines in different states and regions.
On 23rd February, COVID-19 vaccines were injected to service personnel who have completed COVID-19 doses for two times and boosters were also vaccinated to the people in Lewe Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.
Similarly, boosters were injected to 164 people who have completed 2 doses of COVID-19 in Kama Maung Township of Kayin State and COVID shield vaccines were inoculated to civil servants who have left for vaccination because of various reasons, volunteers, monks and local people at the age of 18 in Shan Ywa Thit of Hpa-an district. COVID-19 boosters were also administered to the people over 65 year in Kawkarate township.
Likewise, COVID-19 vaccines were inoculated to local people at the age of 18 in Kan Balu Township of Sagaing Region and people in IDP camps in Sin Tat Maw village of Pauktaw township of Rakhine State.
Boosters were also injected to the service personnel and people in Tamwe township of Yangon Region as well as the covid shield vaccines were also inoculated to the people over 18 years at the University hospital in Kamayut Township and the 2nd doses of Sinopharm vaccines were injected to 485 people over the age of 18 in Namtu township in northern Shan State, respectively.
