USAR Demonstration: Maritime firefighting and water rescue capability

Organized by the Yangon Region Fire Services Department, Maritime firefighting and water rescue capability demonstration was held at Kandawgyi Lake in Bahan Township of Yangon Region on Saturday.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended the event and made opening remarks. Over 500 personnel, including members of the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) (Medium Team), USAR (Light Team), firefighting and rescue units, and volunteer rescue organizations, marched on fast rescue boats and saluted the Chief Minister and officials.

The program featured demonstrations of assault boats, air boats, connector boats, fire boats, intelligent lifebuoys, and diving rescue operations, showcasing maritime firefighting and rescue capabilities. The Chief Minister and officials later presented honorary awards to the demonstrators and participants and inspected the rescue equipment displayed at the venue.
