US defense secretary meets Singapore counterpart

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Friday held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart from Singapore, Ng Eng Hen. Later in the day, he was expected to hold similar talks with his counterparts from Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. Austin will be a featured speaker this weekend at the Shangra-La Dialogue, Asia's premier defense and security forum.
