






The Union Government held its first meeting after reformation in February 2024, with Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing chairing the session.
The meeting addressed various aspects of the nation's development and outlined key priorities for progress. In his address, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing acknowledged the efforts in development amid challenges, aligning with established policies. He urged all stakeholders to strive for further progress, leveraging the existing infrastructure.
Emphasizing the importance of robust political, economic, and defense sectors, the Prime Minister underscored their role in nation-building. He highlighted the positive impact of foreign currency policy reforms on the export sector, accompanied by a call to enhance production to meet local consumption demands.
The Prime Minister stressed the necessity of training skilled labor in agriculture and livestock sectors, pivotal for the nation's production goals, followed by a focus on the MSME industries. For human resource development, he emphasized the need to make collective efforts for education promotion while paying special attention to healthcare services.
The Prime Minister called for cooperation in organizing basic education examinations, crucial for shaping the nation's future workforce. As the school holiday season approached, tourism development plans were discussed, emphasizing the provision of best services to visitors.
The Prime Minister reiterated that national development is achievable through the collective efforts of the entire populace, guided by effective government leadership. The Union Ministers later provided update reports on incomes and expenditures, issuance of identity cards through Pan Khin project, collecting voters list, preparations for nationwide population and household census, annual crop yields, livestock development, yearly investments by local and foreign investors, production new types of value added products, preparations for exams, yearly import/ export condition, better arrangements for public health, victories in international sports meets and efforts for promoting sports standards.
In response to the reports, the Prime Minister stressed the need to implement effective projects, with the allotted budget by the government. He called for strenuous efforts in implementing the development works in respective sectors.
