Britons may be subject to some form of lockdown measures for six months or longer, England's Deputy Chief Medical Officer Jenny Harries said on Sunday. The government has said it will review in three weeks the lockdown steps it put in place last Monday. Harries said it is too soon to know if they have had the desired effect of reducing the peak of the spread of the virus in Britain.

All parts of Britain are on an emergency in the fight against coronavirus, with strategic coordination centers being set up across the country, the housing minister Robert Jenrick said.
