Twin panda cubs debut at Tokyo zoo, woo fans

Twin giant panda cubs made their public debut at Tokyo's Ueno Zoo on Wednesday to the delight of hundreds of their fans. Only a select group of visitors who won a lottery draw will be able to see the cubs and their mother over the next three days. The zoo has been temporarily closed since Tuesday due to the recent surge of the coronavirus in Tokyo. The male cub Xiao Xiao and the female cub Lei Lei were born on June 23 last year. Their names were chosen from hundreds of thousands of suggestions sent from fans around Japan.
