Tree Planting Ceremony: MOTC planted 1,500 saplings in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Transport and Communications organized a 2025 Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony at 2 plots along the rail route between Nay Pyi Taw and YwarTaw stations in Pobbathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw on 14th June. 

Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo and wife, Deputy Ministers, officials and staff families attended the ceremony.

The Deputy Prime Minister and attendees planted shady and wind shield trees along the railway and YwarTaw station. A total of 1,500 saplings including teak, Padauk , ironwood and  cassia were planted during the event.

Similarly, the ministry’s affiliated departments across the nation also organized tree planting activities on the same day.
