Tourism Sector: Health and Safety Protocol Certificates have been issued

To ensure the safety of the homegrown and international travellers, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and the Ministry of Health are jointly inspecting the hotels and issuing Health and Safety Protocol (HSP) Certificates to the qualified hotels which meet the Covid-19 set standards.

According to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, HSP certificates have been issuing to travel agencies, hotels and tourist destination sites and now over 300 hotels across the nation have already received the certificates.

To enhance the image of Myanmar’s tourism industry through the safe and better tourism services, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism conducting training courses and workshops with the collaboration of the Union of Myanmar Travel Association and brother associations.

When the tourism sector thrives, the businesses related to tourism such as transportation businesses, souvenir businesses and restaurants and commodity flow will be developed.

Therefore, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism are trying to expose the new tourist destinations across the nation and enhance the tourism services at the travel sites with the collaboration of the Union of Myanmar Travel Association and brother associations for the development of the tourism sector.
