Tourism Development: Meeting with hoteliers in Tachileik

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Kyaw Soe Win on May 30 met with officials from Myanmar Hotelier Association (Golden Triangle Zone) in Tachileik Township.

During the meeting, the Union Minister called for cooperative efforts of all concerned officials to provide better services to the visitors, creating job opportunities for the locals within the zone. He added that implementations are underway for hotel staff and locals to be able to attend the training courses, opened at Center for Tourism Development (Keng Tung) as the Ministry is fulfilling the requirement for country’s tourism development.

After hearing reports on the entry of domestic and international visitors along with the matters on hotels and tourism sector, the Union Minister coordinated the requirement. 

The Union Minister later visited Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge (1), and oversaw the issuance of Entry Permit Cards. The Union Minster then proceeded to the Tourist Information Counter operated under the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Tachileik Branch) and gave necessary instructions.
