












A coordination meeting on screeing movies was held at the Information and Public Relations Department in Yangon on Friday. Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn discussed the ministry’s efforts for movie industry which was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic, in cooperation with the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization.
He emphasized the need to produce quality movies to gain good market incomes, benefiting the producers and cinema owners. In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) Yangon Office, and observed the production process at the respective studios.
They viewed the filming of song performance by the students of Practicing High School at the Studio-1. Likewise, the Union Minister enjoyed the audio recording for the song, commemorating the “Forum on Rebuilding Myanmar: Post-Earthquake Economic Recovery” to be held on 30th May in Nay Pyi Taw.
In addition, the Union Minister cheered the rehearsal performances of Myanma Athan Traditional Orchestra and Myanmar National Sympony Orchestra. During the visits, the Union Minister presented cash rewards for the filming teams and performers.
