







The 5th Moscow International Tourism Forum and Exhibition is being held from 10th to 15th June in Russian Federation.
Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Kyaw Soe Win who are attending the forum with the invitation of Russian Minister for Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, visited the International Toursim Exhibitions displayed at VDNH Park on 11th June.
The 5th Moscow International Forum and Exhibition is organized by Roscongress Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russian Federation, National Priority Self-Governing Non-Governmental Organization, the Center for Strategic Research and various tourism organizations. The forum showcases 85 exhibitions from over 30 countries and 89 regions of Russian Federation. It attracts 3,000 attendees with over 500,000 visitors.
During the forum, 12 cooperation agreements and 1 MoU were signed. In the afternoon, the Union Minister attended the discussion titled “The Role of Tourism in Preserving Historical Heritage and Strengthening International Ties” at VDNH Park.
The discussion was co-hosted by the Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of Russia and the Director General of the ATOM Foundation for Promotion of Scientific, Educational and Communication Initiatives, with the participation of high ranking officials and experts from tourism and cultural heritage sector. The discussion focused on preservation of cultural heritage, further plans for tourism industry development and implementation of sustainable tourism industry, prioritizing natural environment and cultural heritage.
On the 12th, the Union Minister attended the discussion on “Combining Spaces and Harmonizing Cultures: Cross-Border Route for Tourist Exchange”.
During the discussion, the Union Minister made clarifications on Myanmar Tourism Industry operation and further plans, Myanmar’s participation in regional tourism cooperation among ASEAN, GMS and BIMSTECS member countries, implementation of Welcome Russia project, tasks carried out during FAM Trip as well as Myanmar’s active participation in Russian tourism exhibitions.
In the evening, the Union Minister joined the Sun of Moscow tour, oversaw the decoration and arrangements at the VDNH Park for the relaxation of visitors and enjoyed the largest Ferris wheel in Europe together with the ministers and senior officials from participating countries.
