










President U Min Aung Hlaing visited factories and technology companies in Hangzhou during his state visit to China on Friday.
The President toured Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co., Ltd., where he observed electric vehicle (EV) production processes and learned about the company's development and expansion plans.
Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co., Ltd. is a Chinese automobile company based in Hangzhou that primarily manufactures EVs. The company was founded in December 2015, and it began selling its first vehicles in 2019. In 2023, Stellantis acquired a 20% stake in Leapmotor. In 2024, Leapmotor vehicles were introduced to European markets. In March 2024, Leapmotor signed a cooperation agreement with Huawei HarmonyOS.
On April 10, 2025, the company unveiled the Leapmotor B10. By 2026, Leapmotor had invested in more than 50 companies involved in materials, research and development, and component manufacturing. The company currently develops and manufactures 65% of its vehicle components in-house and aims to increase that figure to 80% in the future. Currently, in the EV manufacturing sector, the company ranks 3rd within China and 6th globally. In terms of exports, it exported over 60,000 electric vehicles in 2025. It is also working toward a target of exporting over 100,000 vehicles in 2026.
Afterwards, the Myanmar high-level delegation arrived at Zhejiang Qingshi New Material Technology Co., Ltd., where officials explained the process of researching and selecting high-quality bamboo, and producing bamboo fiber through a biotechnology-based, chemical-free method. They also demonstrated on blending bamboo fibers with other types of fibers to produce yarns, textiles, clothing, and various consumer products.
Zhejiang Qingshi New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is a private technology-based company located in Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province. Its main products include high-quality bamboo fiber, blended yarns, and textiles, which can also be customized according to customer requirements. In 2025, the company produced a total of 18,000 tons of bamboo fiber with a natural antibacterial rate of 99.2%. While the headquarters is in Hangzhou, its manufacturing plant is located in Nanping of Fujian Province, an area rich in bamboo resources. The President later toured the production facilities, observing the bamboo fiber manufacturing process, blending stages, and final yarn production.
The President later visited Unitree Robotics, where officials demonstrated advanced quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and AI technologies. The robots showcased disaster-response capabilities, service applications, traditional dances from Myanmar and China, and martial arts demonstrations. Unitree's Chairman Wang Xingxing, presented a specially made robot as a commemorative gift, while President U Min Aung Hlaing exchanged souvenirs with company representatives.
