












Member of the State Administration Council Mahn Nyein Maung, together with Chief Minister of Ayeyawady Region U Tin Maung Win and officials, on Saturday visited Auk Kwin Gyi Farm in Pyapon Township to attend a ceremony to provide agricultural inputs.
The council member stressed that the government is providing assistance for agricultural needs including quality seeds, farm implements and irrigation facilities. He urged farmers to strive for achieving targeted yields, while using the natural fertilizer widely.
After the meeting, green manure seeds and drum seeders were provided to the farmers, following by spreading of green manure seeds in the farm. Afterwards, the Council member attended a seminar for development of rice industry, organized by four townships of Pyapon District.
In his speech, the council member stressed the crucial role of rice industry for local consumption and export item. He urged all to strive for penetrating into the international market by cultivating quality Pawsan rice species.
During the event, presentations were made on the results of the Pawsan Forum 2025, research works being conducted by the Department of Agricultural Research and efforts for development of rice industry.
During the event, Myanmar Rice Federation and five local committees donated 10 million kyat for rehabilitation works in quake-hit areas.
The council member and party later proceeded to No.1 Basic Education High School in Maubin Township and met with the District and Township Education Officers and Principals. The council member called for cooperation of teachers, parents and school welfare committee for peaceful learning of the students and achieving high passing rate in the matriculation exams.
They then visited the Global Earth Agro & Aqua Industry Public Co., Ltd. in Phaya Chaung Village-tract of Pantamaw Township and viewed the operation process of the company. The council member stressed for worksite safety and successful implementation of the projects.
