The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is inviting everyone in Bangkok to join Earth Hour 2025, by turning off their lights on Saturday night.

This year, the BMA has requested cooperation from many city landmarks by switching off their lights for the hour, including the Emerald Buddha Temple, the Grand Palace, the Temple of Dawn, the Giant Swing, Rama VIII Bridge and the Temple of the Golden Mount in Bangkok.

Bangkok’s 50 district offices have also asked businesses in their jurisdictions to take part. The objectives of the campaign include raising public awareness about climate change. The Earth Hour website encouraged people to create “the Biggest Hour for Earth” this year. People in about 7,000 cities in 190 countries are expected to take part this year' earth hour.
