Tatmadaw Heavy Industrial Factory: C-in-CDS inspected heavy industrial factory branch (YGN)

The Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, General Ye Win Oo, accompanied by senior Tatmadaw officers and responsible officials from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, conducted an inspection visit Tuesday morning to the Tatmadaw heavy industrial factory branch (Yangon) in Hmawbi Township, Yangon Region, to review its operational status.

First, responsible officials briefed the General Ye Win Oo and officials at the factory headquarters meeting hall on the factory's current operations. The Commander-in-Chief provided guidance on several matters, including continuing efforts to produce fuel tankers, water tankers, and fire trucks in large quantities with high quality, as these vehicles are used not only by the Tatmadaw but also by various ministries, conducting further research to produce more advanced, internationally standard-compliant, and technologically superior vehicles and ensuring that responsible officials address the welfare needs of the staff and their families.

Afterward, the Commander-in-Chief and officials toured the factory's press shop, fore and nut workshop, and tank assembly workshop, where they observed the production of motor vehicles and related components using modern machinery and technology.

Responsible officials provided accompanying explanations, and they asked questions and discussed matters of interest, coordinating as necessary. Subsequently, the Commander-in-Chief and officials inspected the fire trucks, water tankers, and fuel tankers produced by the factory, and presented cash rewards to the factory staff members.

The Tatmadaw heavy industrial factory branch (Yangon) is currently producing fire trucks and fuel tankers, supplying them not only to the Tatmadaw but also to various ministries and Region and state governments based on demand. Additionally, the factory produces the necessary body press parts, frames, and other components required for manufacturing Inlay Jeep and Inlay Pickup vehicles.

These parts are then shipped to the Tatmadaw heavy industrial factory (Htonebo) for final assembly of Inlay Jeep vehicles. The factory also supplies these vehicles to the military as well as to ministries at affordable prices, it’s reported.
