


Tastefully Myanmar: Myanmar’s Biggest Food & Drink Expo 2020 was opened to the public at Fortune Plaza in Thaketa Township on Friday morning.
The expo is co-locating with Myanmar Coffee, Tea & Sweets Expo and Myanmar Franchise Expo & Conference.
The ALT Exhibition organized the Expo to bring together all food, drink and coffee companies including franchise companies from local and international in one place. It also aims to make useful contacts among the industry players and to get market penetration internationally.
Project Manager, ALT Exhibitions, Naing Win Aung said “The expo aims to promote the local products and franchise companies in Myanmar. We also hope to get more foreign investments and opportunities for international economic relations through the expo.”
The 3-day expo is showcasing the largest selection of food, drinks including processing food, coffee, tea, meat and poultry, dairy and cheese, snacks and desserts, wine, food ingredient and much more from more than 300 brands name, 120 exhibitors and 200 booths local and internationally.
Shop Manager, Volume Wine Shop, Thida Hlaing said “We mainly import a large variety of wine from international producers including French, Italy, Spain and Australia. Currently, we are selling about 73 types of wine. We also distribute our products to other wholesalers. It is an opportunity to get more market penetration through the expo.”
General Manager, Wolf Kitchen, Set Nyi Htut said “Our company mainly produces healthy foods such as diet meals, dark chocolate, Himalayan salts, and honey by using the local raw materials. All products out of our company are sugar free and we aim to empower local farmers through the promotion of organic farming.”
The expo is set to be held till the 8th March and it will operate from 9 am to 5 pm. The expo also includes cakes decoration competition, coffee making competition, talk shows and game programs.
