Tanzania steps up Ebola prevention measures

Tanzania has intensified border health screenings and set up isolation rooms to prevent the entry of Ebola as the outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo continues. It also instructed and trained healthcare staff and community workers in high-risk zones like Kigoma. That includes positioning testing capability and mobile units to analyze samples rapidly. As of July 2026, Tanzania has reported zero confirmed cases or suspected infections.
