Swedish community uses EVs to power homes

Sweden is pioneering "vehicle-to-grid" pilot programs that use electric vehicle batteries to power homes. Through bidirectional chargers, parked EVs act as "batteries on wheels," storing energy during off-peak hours and discharging it back to the home during high-demand peaks or blackouts, saving users on energy bills.

Research showed that powering an average home uses a minuscule fraction of the battery's capacity, posing minimal to no wear on the vehicle.
