Suspect held after explosion rocks Kishida visit

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was evacuated unharmed on Saturday after an explosion at a venue where he was giving an outdoor speech. A man believed to be a suspect was arrested at the scene. Footage showed several uniformed and police officers gathered around the man, pressing him to the ground and dragging him to the side.

The explosion occurred just before the Japanese Prime Minister was to begin his speech. No injuries were reported in the incident and Kishida was taken to Wakayama prefectural police headquarters.
