






A coordination meeting with Myanmar sports federations to achieve success in 33rd SEA Games was held in Thuwana National Stadium (1) in Yangon on 14th June. It was attended by Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Vice-Chairman of the Committee and Joint Secretary, as well as Chairmen of the Myanmar Sports Federations and officials.
The federations in attendance include rowing, Petanque, Mwe, track and field, shooting, Pencak Silat, boxing, cricket, e-sports, Karate, archery, football (Men/Women), Fusal, Billiards and Snooker, Cane-ball, Wushu, weightlifting, Judo, Wrestling, Taekwondo, chess and Sepak Takraw, Equestrian, table tennis, Hokey, badminton, Bowling, Squash, Yachting, Jujutsu, Kickboxing, Kabaddi, Basketball, Skate, acrobatic, swimming, golf, Tug of War (Demonstration Sport), Volleyball, Tennis and Teqball.
During the meeting, the Union Minister elaborated the matters regarding the SEAGF council meeting, administration, Sports categories, Sport grounds/ stadiums, and preparations for the 34th and 35th SEA Games. The Union Minister made an opening speech, and officials reported on the prapartation for the SEA Games, condition of training process, types of sports to be competed in SEA Games, arrangements for accomodation and sports gears, as well as conducting joint trainings.
Upon the reports, the Union Minister fulfilled the requirements. After the meeting, the Union Minister and party met with Akido Team and discussed to the formation of Akido Federation, aiming to nurture the new generation. After that, the Union Minister and party visited the Padetha Sports Ground in South Okkalapa Township where they enjoyed the demonstration of Akido technique.
The Union Minister also visited the traing camp of Shooting Federation in Dagon Myothit (North) Township as well as Squash Gymnasium and Teqball training hall in Kyaikkasan Ground..
