




A ceremony was held at the corner of Yazathingaha and Thiri Kyaw Swar Roads in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday, to name a road after the capital city, Minsk of Belarus, aiming to strengthen the diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Belarus.
The Belarusian Foreign Minister Mr. Maxim Ryzhenkov spoke on the occasion, emphasizing that the friendly relations between the two countries will strengthen till many years to come through mutual understanding.
Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo also expressed that the naming of road after the Belarus will become a milestone for the friendly relations between the two countries.
Then, the signboard of the road was unveiled, and the attendees strolled along the road. The newly named road connects Yazathingaha and Zabu Kyetthayay Roads. Along the 7,000 ft long Minsk Road are located the Myanma Economic Bank, private banks and Thiri Mingala Market.
