Strengthening Relations : Receiving the Ambassadors and foreign delegates

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Tin Maung Swe received Ms Ma Jia, Ambassador of China to Myanmar who attended the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony, in Nay Pyi Taw on the evening of 10 April.

Discussions focused on strengthening cordial relations existing between Myanmar and China as well as promoting mutually beneficial cooperation. On separate occasion, Union Minister U Tin Maung Swe received Mr. Valdrack Jaentschke, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua and discussed matters on enhancing bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Likewise, the Union Minister received Mr. Kitti Settha Pandita Cham Prasidh, Member of Supreme Privy Council of His Majesty the King and Special Envoy of the Royal Government of Cambodia to ASEAN, Mr. Alounkeo Kittikhoun, Former Special Envoy of the Lao PDR’s ASEAN Chair in 2024 on Myanmar and Former Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and Mr. Nguyen Tat Thanh, Director-General, South East Asia, South Asia, South Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam. They discussed matters relating to strengthening of bilateral relations with respective countries and promoting closer cooperation in both bilateral and regional context.
