Stocks end higher for the week in New York

Stocks rallied again on Friday, and Wall Street snagged its second winning week in the last 12, a reprieve from its brutal sell-off.

The S&P 500 ended 116 points or 3.0% higher at 3,911.85, though it's still close to 20% below its record set early this year and hasn't recouped its loss from the prior week, which was its worst since the early 2020 coronavirus crash.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended up 826 points, or 2.7% higher, at 31,503 and the Nasdaq composite finished 375 points or 3.3% higher at 11,607.33.
