Sports Skill Demonstration: Senior General Encouraged the Selected Athletes

Myanmar’s selected athletes for 31st Southeast Asia Games are undergoing camp training, and they presented demonstration on their sports skills on January 29th.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party enjoyed the demonstration of the selected athletes. The Prime Minister urged the athletes to make efforts for achieving victory to promote the prestige of the nation.  He also pledged to provide necessary assistance and also stressed to be cautious for prevention against COVID-19 infection.

The Prime Minister also presented honorary cash for the athletes. The Prime Minister and party later visited the booths of Myanmar Sports Activities, and viewed the displays of statues and photos of gold medalist athletes, documentary photos of outstanding athletes and their winning medals as well as the photos of 27th SEA Games.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the Government will fulfill the requirements for promoting Myanmar’s sports sector. The football grounds, stadiums and swimming pools will be built at Region, State, District and Township Levels.

He also pointed out the needs to build sports grounds systematically at the universities and schools, and appoint the trainers for technical and physical training. The Prime Minister also stressed that the government will provide assistance for ensuring life insurance of the outstanding athletes.
