





Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan on Thursday visited the Theinphyu Lethwei Stadium and heard reports on preparations of Myanmar traditional Lethwei men and women athletes to participate in the 32nd SEA Games Kun Khmer competition and gave instructions.
The Union Minister also visited the Myanmar Rowing and Canoeing Federation and encouraged the training athletes and inspected construction of a 4-storey women dormitory. He also gave a speech at the training completion ceremony of basic archery course 1/2023 jointly organized by the Myanmar Archery Federation and Yangon University of Foreign Language.
Men and women 10-meter archery competitions were also conducted to mark the training completion ceremony and the winners and coaches were presented medals, cash awards and honorary certificates.
It’s reported an advanced archery course will be conducted in July this year to train the outstanding students from the basic course to be professional archery athletes to promote the prestige of the country. Plans are underway to conduct archery courses at universities and colleges in Yangon.
