Sports Sector: Sports training program in Mandalay

Union Minister for Sports U Ye Myint Tun on Saturday visited the Sports and Physical Education Institute (Mandalay) in Chanmyathasi Township.

The Union Minister inspected the new buildings construction process and met with the staff. During the meeting, the Union Minister encouraged to implement pilot basic sports training programmes in coordination with the relevant departments to enhance Myanmar's sports standards and provided supply.

The Union Minister later had a lunch together with the trainees and coordinated necessities.  The Union Minister later proceeded to Aung Myay Mandalar Sports Ground in Aung Myay Thazan Township and oversaw the trainees undergoing football training under Football for School program, as well as track and field and Taekwondo basic training process and provided energy drinks.
