





On 4th June, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung accompanied by concerned officials made an inspection tour within Shan State, Mandalay Region and Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory to ensure sustainable development of sports sector.
In Shwe Nyaung Township, the Union Minister inspected the area set to construct Futsal Court during 2025-2026 Fiscal Year, and instructed on resilience of the court to be able to withstand potential earthquake, systematic and rapid restoration of the earthquake damaged areas of the stadium and maintenance of football ground.
The Union Minister also oversaw the training process of U-15 Shan Southern FC Team which is competing in FIFA MFF U-15 Youth League and urged the coaches and players to make strenuous efforts in training for the best outcomes.
On arrival in Kalaw Township, the Union Minister inspected the flood damaged area of the stadium at Sports and Physical Education Department, and instructed on swift renovation of the stadium to hold inter-office sport events. Subsequently, the Union Minister and party proceeded to Yamethin and Pyawbwe townships to inspect the earthquake damaged stadiums and sport grounds and instructed on sufficient water supply, construction of special stage and other necessities.
On the same day, the Union Minister visited the sport ground in Tatkone Township, and instructed on systematic fencing, cleanliness and beautifying of the sport ground, sufficient water supply as well as the smooth operation of the office.
