Sports Event : MOC team wins 2026 Inter-Ministry Futsal Championship

The Ministry of Construction team won the 2026 Inter-Ministry Futsal Championship after defeating the Ministry of Defence 4-3 in the final on Friday.

The final was closely contested, with both teams level at 3-3 at the end of regular time. The Ministry of Construction scored the winning goal during extra time to secure the championship title. The Ministry of Defence finished as runners-up, while the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Finance and Revenue shared third place.

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement received the Fair Play Award. Player Naing Tun Lu of the Ministry of Construction was named the tournament's Best Player, while Ministry of Defence goalkeeper Min Khant Aung won the Best Goalkeeper award.

The champions received a trophy, individual medals and prize money of 10 million kyats. The 12-day tournament was held from August 3 to 14 with the participation of 25 men's teams and 445 players, coaches and officials.
