Sports and Youth Affairs : Handover ceremony held in Nay Pyi Taw

A handover ceremony was held in Nay Pyi Taw for newly appointed Union Ministers and Deputy Ministers after the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs was split into two ministries: Sports and Youth Affairs.

Officials presented current activities and future plans for both sectors. Newly appointed Union Minister for Sports U Ye Myint Tun emphasized teamwork to improve Myanmar’s sports sector. Also, newly appointed Union Minister for Youth Affairs Dr. Maung Thin said he will focus on developing skilled and well-rounded young people.

Deputy Ministers also introduced themselves and shared their experience. The ceremony  ended with the signing of official handover documents. Afterward, Union Minister Dr Maung Thin and Deputy Minister U Sit Naing met with staff at the Gold Camp, and encouraged them in their work.
