Spain wildfire has killed at least 12 people

More than 460 emergency workers have been deployed to battle the fire near the town of Los Gallardos, Spain that has killed at least 12 people. Among the victims located so far are people who died while trying to flee the flames, some in a vehicle and others on foot. Among them are a Spanish citizen, as well as British and Belgian nationals.

Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska confirmed there are foreign nationals among the victims. The search for the 23 missing people continues under very difficult conditions due to the terrain and because many homes and roads remain inaccessible, and more than 1000 people have been evacuated. Eight people have been hospitalized, some in serious condition.
