Social Security Services: Hemodialysis services at Htantapin Workers’ Hospital

A ceremony was held at the Workers’ Hospital in Htantapin Township, Yangon Region, on Sunday to donate cash for hemodialysis procedures and a water purification machine. Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe attended the ceremony and accepted the donation.

He later oversaw the completion of the installation of a hemodialysis machine and water purifier. The Social Security Board initiated hemodialysis services for insured workers at the Workers’ Hospital in Mandalay in November 2023, followed by the Workers’ Hospital in Yangon in January 2024.

As the number of kidney patients at Yangon Workers’ Hospital has increased, an additional hemodialysis machine is being installed at the Workers’ Hospital in Htantapin. Patients from Hlaingthaya, Shwepyita and Insein townships will be able to access hemodialysis treatment at Htantapin Workers’ Hospital.
