US and South Korean military personnel held a large-scale river-crossing exercise on Wednesday.
About 1,000 troops, dozens of crawler equipment and military aircraft took part in the training at Yeoju. Battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Lee Yong-kyung said the operation was carried out as part of a "national defense drill."
