Shanghai Dedicates Cars and Warehouse to Ensure Supplies for Elderly amid COVID-19 Wave

During the current COVID-19 wave, under the overall coordination of the Civil Affairs Bureau in Shanghai, Cainiao Courier Station mobilized transportation resources and set up a special car to ensure the distribution of daily necessities for elderly people in nursing homes and living alone in communities.

Cainiao Logistics has opened a special warehouse for the elderly under closed-loop management in Shanghai’s western Jiading District. The first batch of goods that has been received and processed was nearly 100 tons, and the warehouse will later on offer daily necessities to more than 60 nursing homes located around Shanghai. The staff will customize different delivery plans according to different delivery needs.
