





Coordination Meeting No. (2/2025) of the State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee was held at meeting hall of the office No. 32 of the Ministry of Planning and Finance on June 10.
First, the Committee Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein explained that loans from the State Economic Promotion Fund had already been issued for various sectors including agriculture, livestock, manufacturing, and special projects.
Additionally, loans would be disbursed to support the expansion of specific businesses such as broiler chickens, layer chickens, DYL pigs, and fish farming. At today’s meeting, the disbursement and repayment status of loans provided from September 1, 2022, to June 10, 2025, to 14 Region and State Governments and 6 Self-Administered Zones/Divisions, through the Ministry of Planning and Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation etc. was discussed. Union Ministers and other attendees presented the implementation outcomes of the summer paddy, monsoon paddy, and oil crop projects (peanuts, sesame, sunflower) for the 2024–2025 fiscal year.
They also discussed the ongoing status of loan agreements for monsoon paddy and pulses for the 2025–2026 fiscal year, the current status of livestock loan disbursement, the implementation of irrigation projects, and the feasibility of issuing and increasing loans for the development of oil mill enterprises.
Next, the Secretary of the Committee reported on the progress of decisions made in Meeting No. (1/2025). Furthermore, committee members and attendees provided suggestions and discussed matters related to extending loan periods and authorizing project expansion through the State Economic Promotion Fund, as proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, as well as by various regions and self-administered territories. The meeting concluded with closing remarks by the Committee Chairman.
