Seed and input distribution: MCRD UM delivered an address at the ceremony

The seed and input distribution ceremony for the monsoon paddy crop under the 2025–2026 fiscal year plan, aimed at achieving the target yield per acre, was held at the Department of Agriculture's briefing hall in Taekyi Kone Village, Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw on June 10.

Attendees included Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, Deputy Minister, Permanent Secretary, Director Generals, and other relevant officials. At the ceremony, the Union Minister emphasized the importance of farmers taking ownership of their work, stating that only through personal effort can they reap results.

He urged them to strictly follow the prescribed agricultural practices. He also highlighted the need for timely and full repayment of financial support received whether from the State Economic Promotion Fund, loans from the Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank, the Cooperative Exam Bank, or the Green Village Project loans based on the crop cycle.

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of successfully implementing current agricultural projects funded by the state. Relevant officials were instructed to assist farmers with timely plowing, planting, and harvesting, as well as to support market linkages for the crops produced.

The Union Minister also addressed regional development issues and responded to farmers' concerns and suggestions. Following the ceremony, Union Minister U Hla Moe and Deputy Minister U Myint Soe distributed Aung Naing Toe and Thai variety monsoon paddy seeds, along with agricultural inputs, to farmers in Zabuthiri Township.
