The Tatmadaw columns have continued counter-terrorism operations along the Kalay–Tamu road to regain control of areas temporarily occupied by armed terrorists.

On July 26, Tatmadaw forces secured Htinzin New Village and Htinzin Old Village. On July 28, they further captured Bokkan Model Village, located about 6.2 kilometers north of Htinzin. According to reports, armed groups had used local homes as bases, seized food and property by force, built bunkers, destroyed schools and hospitals, and committed abuses against villagers.

The operations aim to reopen the Kalay–Tamu road as soon as possible, restore security, and allow residents to live peacefully again. Reconstruction of damaged houses, schools, and bridges, as well as development projects in education and health, will be carried out with cooperation from relevant departments and locals. Mine clearance operations are also underway to ensure safety for the community.
